VEDU is currently seeking a highly experienced Senior Vice-President (SVP) & Chief Infrastructure Officer (CIO) to provide insightful vision, leadership, strategic advice, and guidance for developing and implementing innovative technology solutions to support the goals of the company and group. The SVP & CIO will oversee the future of our information services and technology, and provide technological innovation, and best-in-class services.

Responsibilities:

  • Formulating the development strategy and overall planning of the group’s informatization construction, education brand building and product development, as well as the construction and management of the group’s IT technology system and Metaverse platform, strictly standardizing the professional system, and under the leadership of the group’s board of directors and CEO.
  • Responsible for the:
    • Informatization implementation of educational products and the application of the group’s educational technology, reviewing the computer and network systems and the configuration plans of teaching facilities and equipment in various departments and schools of the group, confirming the coordinated development strategies and specific implementation of informatization in each department, and identifying software and hardware equipment purchase plan and annual budget.
    • Group’s informatization human resources management, building an information technology team to perform tasks or confirm outsourcing companies, and reviewing the informatization management financial system and annual report.
    • Research and development, design, implementation, promotion, management, evaluation and acceptance of various educational products of the group from IT technology perspective, including subject system, curriculum system, teaching material system, teaching system and teacher system, and coordinating and summarizing the resources of various schools and subjects, reasonable configuration and simultaneous development.
  • Working closely with the Marketing Department to launch relevant listed products and provide a mature educational brand for market promotion, and to jointly complete the annual performance targets set by the company.
  • Fully responsible for the quality control of all educational products and projects of the group, completing the brand building of educational products, organizing industry-related art and academic professional activities, proposing budgets and managing implementation.
  • Working closely with the Human Resources Department to promote the reserve of various high-quality resources, be responsible for the construction of the teaching staff and the quality control of talents, and responsible for personnel review and salary budget approval.
  • Responsible for promoting the internationalization, specialization, standardization and standardization of the education and teaching system at all levels of the group, fully responsible for and supervising the implementation of the four modernization and the teaching management of various education systems, and reviewing the financial budgets and annual reports of the schools under the group.

Qualifications

  • University degree or college diploma in business administration, computer science, education or a related field. Advanced degree would be a strong asset.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of senior managerial and leadership experience as CIO/CTO/Dean or similar roles in the education industry or academic framework or institution
  • International experience, preferably in North America and Asia, would be a strong asset.
  • Excellent knowledge of post-secondary education environments, educational governance, academic planning, etc.
  • Demonstration of the ability to lead innovative, transformational change, and to inspire and manage a service-focused technology team.
  • Demonstrated experience of recognizing and developing talent.
  • Proven experience in developing technology stack supporting business requirements including cloud strategy and deployment.
  • Excellent strategic planning, vision and forecasting.
  • Strong ability for financial planning and strategy, and budget development.
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel domestically and internationally on short notice.
  • Exceptional project and people management skills.
  • Strong English reading, written and verbal skills.

Wage & Benefits

  • $120,000 to $130,000 per year, based on experience and skills
  • Employment benefits including health, dental, disability insurance
